Analisi della novella "Cisti fornaio" (Decameron, VI, 2)

Contesto generale  La novella di Cisti il fornaio è la seconda della sesta giornata del Decameron di Boccaccio. In questa giornata, tutte le novelle hanno un tema comune: il modo elegante e intelligente (con arte e garbo) con cui i personaggi riescono a rispondere a situazioni difficili, spesso grazie all’arguzia, alla prontezza di spirito o all’uso sapiente delle parole (i cosiddetti “motti”). La narratrice è Pampinea, una delle sette giovani protagoniste del Decameron, che introduce la novella con una riflessione: a volte la natura e la fortuna premiano persone di umili origini, dotandole di un'anima nobile e virtuosa, proprio come accade a Cisti. Trama in breve  Cisti è un fornaio fiorentino, quindi un uomo del popolo, ma di grande eleganza, educazione e intelligenza. Egli possiede un ottimo vino bianco, che desidera offrire a Geri Spina, un nobile fiorentino che ogni giorno passa davanti alla sua bottega insieme agli ambasciatori di papa Bonifacio VIII. The environmental issues are generated by conflictual relationship between human activities and ecosystem.
Since ancient times, man has started to influence environment according to his needs, exploiting most of environmental resources. 
Starting from 18th century with Industrial revolution, technological progress and population growth accelerated this phenomenon, putting the environment and ourselves at risk.
The most serious environmental issues are global warming, sour rain, pollution, greenhouse effect and ozone hole.
These problems lead to climate changes and disasters like earthquake, hurricane, tornado and more other. 
The greenhouse effect is a natural phenomeno that if there isn't it, the Earth will be cold.
But human activities release some gas (greenhouse gas like carbon dioxide) in the atmosphere to the point that lead to global warming. 
Moreover, the combustion of fossil fuels as coal, methane, petroleum determines the production of other greenhouse gas.
Another global environmental issues is ozone hole: the reduction of the thin layer of ozone (carbon trioxide) in atmosphere because of presence of "clorofluorocarburi".
This thinning weakens the ability to filter ultraviolet sunrays, which are dangerous for our life.
The combustion of fossil fuels is also a cause of sour rains.
Sour rain is generated by presence of both excessive quantity of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide in the atmosphere and rain water.
Sour rains bring pollutant substances to the soil, ruining several habitats and limestone building. 
Unfortunately, at the moment, these problems haven't a definitive and certain solutions. 
It's possible to give some information and suggest about our behaviour towards our planet.
We can use renewable resources in order to reduce fossil fuels and greenhouse gas. 
In fact, some European countries like Denmark and Sweden cut down on CO2 emissions. 
In Copenhagen there are along the pier some "paleoliche" on the sea, in order to convert wind current and tides to electricity. Then, green spaces are very well cared to the point that in every corner there are parks, plants and flowerbeds full of colorful flowers.
In Sweden there are bus powered by batteries or biodiesel.
I think the environmental problem requires a lot of global solutions.
In my little one, I try to reduce electricity and energy waste by turning off the lights of my room or electric devices if I don't use them.
Then, I employ LED bulbs because they use up to 80% less electricity. 
I buy reusable objects to limit the waste accumulation in dumps and avoid, if possible, plastic objects.
I separate collection of different kinds of household waste.
Moreover, when the destination  of a building or shop is near, I go on foot or by bike.
I hope people can contribute to help our planet because it is so beautiful and magnificent to be destroyed. 
It's time to get back our future!

Agincourt battle In 1337, war between England and France broke out when Edward III claimed the vacant throne of France. One of the most famous victories in English history was achieved by Henry V at Agincourt. The conflict was interrupted by other tragic events such as the Bubonic plague or Black Death. Under Henry VI's reign, the French obtained spectacular victories thanks to Joan of Arc. In the end, the English kings had lost all their continental possessions. Opposition to the Church developed in the second half of the 14th century under the leadership of John Wycliffe, a member of Oxford University who attacked the supremacy of the Pope. From 1454 to 1485 there was a civil war between the two noble houses of York and Lancaster. It was called the War of the Roses because symbols of Lancaster and York families were respectively red rose and white rose. The war was won by Henry Tudor of the Lancastrian dynasty, and he became Henry VII of England.

Comparison between Joyce's "Ulysses" and Woolf's "Mrs Dalloway"

James Joyce (1882-1941) and Virginia Woolf (1882-1941) belonged to the first generation of Modernists and it’s possible to make a comparison between their literary production analyzing their masterpieces: Ulysses and Mrs Dalloway . Ulysses Ulysses is one of the greatest examples of reworking of myth in Modernist literature. Joyce uses the epic model to stress the lack of heroism, ideals, love and trust in the modern world. The plot utterly takes place in Dublin in a single day which involves the life of three characters: Leopold Bloom, an advertising agent, Sthephen Dedalus, a sensitive young man with literary ambitions, and Molly Bloom, Leopold’s wife. Leopold Bloom, compared to Homer’s Ulysses, makes common actions: he wanders throughout the day in the streets of Dublin making errands, stopping at the advertising office and joining a funeral. Giovanni Pascoli: Lavandare

Testo Nel campo mezzo grigio e mezzo nero resta un aratro senza buoi che pare dimenticato, tra il vapor leggero. E cadenzato dalla gora viene lo sciabordare delle lavandare con tonfi spessi e lunghe cantilene: Il vento soffia e nevica la frasca, e tu non torni ancora al tuo paese, quando partisti, come son rimasta, come l’aratro in mezzo alla maggese. Analisi e commento Lavandare è un madrigale, ossia un componimento metrico breve a sfondo pastorale, scritto da Giovanni Pascoli ed appartenente alla raccolta Myricae . In questa raccolta l'autore parla della natura che ci circonda, la campagna e gli oggetti quotidiani, osservandoli con lo stupore e la meraviglia di un bambino. I contributi a livello di poesia di Francesco Petrarca e Dante Alighieri a confronto

  Francesco Petrarca: confronto con Dante Alighieri e i suoi importanti contributi alla nascita della poesia ed allo sviluppo ed alla diffusione della letteratura italiana in Europa   Francesco Petrarca e Dante Alighieri sono considerati insieme a Giovanni Boccaccio i padri fondatori della letteratura italiana ed è proprio in base alle tematiche ed ai canoni stilistici adottati dai tre poeti che si è sviluppata la stessa poesia. Le opere celebri dei due poeti sono degli esempi: la “Commedia” ( o “Divina Commedia” come l’ha rinomata Boccaccio in una delle sue “Letture della Commedia” ) rimane nella letteratura italiana un’opera inimitabile mentre il Canzoniere  è considerata l’opera più imitata tanto che dal Trecento fino ai primi anni del Novecento molti poeti si avvalgono di parecchi “petrarchismi”.
